Admission Guidelines

  • Application Eligibility
    1. Nationality Requirements: Applicants and both their parents must have foreign citizenships.

    2. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree.

      Applicants who apply for the master’s program must hold a Bachelor’s degree or a diploma that is equivalent to or higher than a bachelor’s degree.

      Applicants who apply for the doctoral program must hold a master’s degree or a diploma that is equivalent to or higher than a master’s degree.

    3. Qualification for Language Proficiency

      1) Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK): level 3 or above.
           Note: Some departments do not require Korean proficiency.

      2) English language proficiency for selected departments: TOEFL 550, CBT 210, IBT 80, IELTS 5.5 TEPS 550 or equivalent certificate.

      3) Applicants who do not meet the above conditions are able to apply if recommended by the dean of the department they are applying to.

      Graduation Requirement: International students have to submit TOPIK 3 or higher to meet the graduation requirement.

  • Admission Process
    1. Interviews and oral exams are comprehensively evaluated regarding the applicant’s knowledge of their major, enthusiasm for study, and the research plan based on the submitted study plan.

    2. Paper screening is based on the submitted documents.

    3. Records of undergraduate school or graduate school are applied a percentile rank. For master's applicants, undergraduate school record is reflected. For doctoral applicants, records of undergraduate school and master's degree course are reflected.

    Portfolio(Applicants for the departments of Fine Arts, Design, Media Arts in Master’s program)


    All required documents must be originals. Documents not in Korean or English must be notarized.

    Applicants from People's Republic of China, Philippines, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Mongolia, Thailand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Iran, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt or Peru should submit one of the following documents to verify their diploma:
    - Apostille or Certificate of authentication issued by the Korean embassy or consulate
