- Course Description
The purpose of this 2nd year course is to teach students about the urban space
and improve their urban design abilities. It aims to expose basic notions & strategies
to make students understand the process & objectives of a design project.

- Learn how to see and understand space within the city
- Learn to be creative when designing based on urban analysis & precedent research
- Learn how to analyze, evaluate personal and other people’s design work
- Understand the relationship between form, space and function
- Communicate ideas and concepts of a project in English

- 16 weeks of classes
- Lectures, class discussion and video presentation are part of the teaching process.
- Team discussions and questions/answers with the students to improve the understanding and quality of their design proposal.
- Come to class with a positive attitude and don't be scared to ask questions. Actively participate in class!
- Students will research and prepare sketches, diagrams, models and drawings in order to communicate their ideas
- Time will be given in class for discussing the team project
