CONTEMPORARY SOCIAL PROBLEMS IN EUROPE

  1. Course Description
    현대유럽사회의 사회문제에 관한 기본적인 개념들을 학습하며 제사회문제들에 대한 분석과 이해를 할 수 있는 능력을 기르도록 한다. 더불어 사회문제의 인과관계를 파악하여 현실적 대안을 모색하고 나아가 우리사회의 문제해결을 위한 시사점을 모색토록 한다. 또한 영상물을 통해 현장감을 갖도록 한다.
  2. Course Objectives
    By the end of this course, students will be able to: 1. Identify and analyze major social issues affecting contemporary Europe, including migration, inequality, and welfare systems. 2. Critically evaluate how films portray and reflect real-world societal challenges. 3. Discuss the interplay between cultural, economic, and political factors in shaping social issues. 4. Develop informed opinions on potential solutions to social challenges in Europe. 5. Present their analyses and opinions through inclusive, creative formats (e.g., written, video, or audio projects).
