- Course Description
공통교양 교과인 <교양세미나와토론>은 지식 습득 능력과 비판적, 창의적 사고 능력, 합리적 의사소통 능력의 함양을 지향한다. 이를 위해 본 교과에서는 첫째, 인류의 보편적 지혜가 담긴 동서양의 고전과 명저를 읽고 문해력과 분석력을 향상시킨다. 둘째, 독서 후 글쓰기를 통해 비판적 사고력과 창의성을 기른다. 셋째, 발표 및 토론 활동으로 합리적 의사소통 능력을 키운다. 특히 토론은 스피치 실력의 향상과 종합적 사고 능력의 배양에 유용하다. 학생들은 독서, 글쓰기, 발표와 토론을 통해 교양인으로서 갖추어야 할 지적 소양과 도덕적 인성을 함양할 수 있다. 학생들은 이 수업에서 습득한 학습 능력을 다른 교과목 수업과 대학 생활 전반에 다양하게 활용할 수 있다. 또한 이 능력은 졸업 후 사회생활을 하는 데에도 큰 도움이 될 것이다.

* Exams will be a mixture of 20~25 multiple-choice and short -answer questions (based on the the class readings and PPT)
