RECENT BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING

Course description and objective This course provides a strong foundation in the basic sciences, engineering and life sciences. It integrates the knowledge core of traditional engineering disciplines and modern biology to solve problems encountered in living systems. Biomedical engineering course will allow students to analyze a problem from both an engineering and biological perspective, to anticipate the special difficulties in working with living systems and to evaluate a wide range of possible approaches to solutions. Student Learning Outcomes At the end of this course, students will have: - An ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles on engineering and science. - An ability to apply the core concepts of Biomedical Engineering, its underlying sciences, and relevant technologies in their chosen profession. - An ability to identify, formulate, research through relevant literature review, and solve engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions. - An ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice with appropriate considerations for public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental constraints.

There are no specific requirements for this class, and students from all backgrounds are welcome to enroll - even if your English skills are basic. This course is a great opportunity to improve your English while learning new content. What matters most to me is that you make an effort to follow the lectures. I will provide the slides in both English and Korean to support your understanding, and you are always welcome to ask questions - regardless of your English level.
