Course Objectives
This course is an introductory, theory-based liberal arts subject focused on understanding the fundamental concepts and principles of Machine Learning and Deep Learning, the core technologies of modern artificial intelligence. It explores how algorithms learn patterns from data, examines the structures and characteristics of major learning models, and surveys a wide range of applications across society, industry, and healthcare. The course is delivered through conceptual explanations and case-based discussions without programming practice, allowing students with limited mathematical or technical backgrounds to clearly grasp the mechanisms and flow of AI technologies. By the end of the course, students will gain insight into how artificial intelligence learns and makes decisions, as well as how it drives transformation in various fields.
