FASHION PORTFOLIO

4년 동안 패션디자인에 대하여 전반적으로 배우고 익힌 지식과 경험을 토대로 졸업 후 자신의 적성에 맞는 전문 분야에 따른 취업 또는 진학 준비를 위해 필요한 포트폴리오를 제작한다. 업체경향과 패션 트랜드를 바탕으로 자신의 개성과 창의적인 디자인세계를 포트폴리오를 통하여 표현할 수 있는 능력을 길러 실무에 적용할 수 있도록 한다.

A major aim of the class is to get the students portfolio job application ready. It will look at hard copy as well as digital/SNS portfolio approaches. The emphasis is on the students’ individual interest. The class will give the individual student the autonomy to direct their class work depending on what part of the fashion/ creative sector they would like to enter. It aims to strengthen student's confidence during the application process. The overall aim for students to define interest and work towards the goal to find fulfilling work. The class will also discuss the transition from being a students to becoming a professional- discussing the mental, financial and personal challenges during this process. Key skills An ability to write a professional CV and cover letter for a specific job An ability to research and find suitable job vacancies An ability to communicate professionally during an interview scenario An ability to select work, edit and design a contemporary fashion design portfolio A ability to define an interest and carry out a self-directed study project

This course is highly practical. The output (portfolio) and skills can be used directly in the job application process. It is an opportunity for students to reflect upon their time at Keimyung University, define their interest, evaluate their strengths and to situate their further professional practice.
