INTERMEDIATE ACCOUNTING I

    The course will focus on accounting principles in financial reporting for general use with in-depth coverage on basic concepts and analysis. The topics will include accounting principles, valuation and analysis of financial statements.

    At the end of the semester, the students will be able to 1) understand the principles and concepts presenting financial statements 2) learn different internal controls in order to present fair and reliable financial data 3) develop skills in analyzing financial data for decision making

  7. Practical application of the course
    Financial statements are used by different stakeholders in making economic decisions. Thus, if the data provided are not accurate, it would lead to wrong decisions and would redound to the bankruptcy or closure of the company if not corrected. The course helps the students understand the basic information in the financial statements useful in managing accounts and in making economic decisions.
