This course covers selected topics of current interest in the field of management, particularly changes in the state of the art in managing global operations.

By the end of the semester, students should be able to:
Develop a deep understanding of the current issues that significantly impact global operations.
Equip students with the tools, framework, and strategies to effectively navigate and excel in the global business landscape.
Develop skills in risk management, allowing students to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with global operations, including supply chain disruptions, cybersecurity threats, and geopolitical uncertainties.
Enhance problem-solving capabilities by analyzing real-life scenarios and case studies enabling students to develop practical and creative solutions to complex global operations challenges.
Foster a global mindset by examining cultural, legal, and political factors that influence global operations, promoting awareness of cross-cultural communication, diversity, and inclusion in global business contexts.
- Teachnig Method
1. Smartphones and other gadgets should be used solely for academic purposes, such as referencing dictionaries or engaging in classroom activities. Personal use for calls, messaging, or gaming is strongly and highly discouraged.
2. Leaving the class without the professor's permission is permitted only in cases of emergency or f sudden illness arises.
3. Punctuality is important. Being late to class will result in being marked as such. Three instances of lateness will be considered as one unexcused absence.
4. Any form of cheating is strictly discouraged and will not be tolerated.
5. Enjoy and actively participate in the class!

Students should have prior knowledge of key concepts and principles of international business management. A grasp of fundamental operations management principles will enable students to effectively apply and build upon their knowledge as they delve into the complexities of managing global operations and address current issues. Given the student-centered nature of the course, active participation in class activities and discussions is strongly encouraged.
