INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC POLICY

  1. Course Description
    Students will study public affairs across the border. Students will learn rationale for international cooperation in the field of environment, poverty, disease, trade, energy, resources, and security.
  2. Course Objectives
    1. Students will understand the concept and types of the public policy. 2. students will get problem-solving capacity. 3. Students will learn how to make a draft of the public policy 4. Students will learn the implementation process of the public policy. 5. Students will learn how to evaluate the public policy. 6. Students will learn how to write a policy memo.
  3. Teachnig Method
    This course is designed to educate future bureaucrats, policy analyst, consultants. - The lecture will be a major part of the course. Students will be required to read the textbook before the class. - There are team competitions for the same project. Several students will make a team. There will be a several hypothetical government project. Two teams will present their policy alternative to the government(classmates and me). The winning teams project will be adopted. - There will be 2 policy memos. These are individual projects. Students should research those topics and submit policy memos. ** very important notice> This class's Monday session will be moved to Wednesday 13:30 - 14:45. Please check your class schedule. Make a room for this class for Wednesday 13:30 - 14:45. So this class will be held a day (Wednesday) from 13:30 - 16:00 just like a graduate school.
