BASICS OF ELECTRO & MECHA ENGINEERING

◾ 본 교육과정의 목표는 전자, 전기 또는 메카트로닉스 공학을 전공하는 학생들을 대상으로 본격적인 전공 교육과정을 이수하는데 필요한 기초 전공 이론을 강의하는 것이다. ◾ 전자, 전기 그리고 메카트로닉스 공학 분야의 세부 주제 별로 전문성을 가진 교수들이 팀티칭 형태의 강의를 함으로써 단순 지식 전달이 아닌 이해 위주의 수업이 가능한 전공기초 융복합 교과목을 개발하고자 한다. ◾ 마지막으로 ‘4차 산업혁명’과 같은 패러다임의 변화 과정 속에서 해당 분야에서 새롭게 등장하는 이론과 트렌드 등에 대한 가르침도 포함한다.

This comprehensive course introduces microcontrollers, Python programming, simulation with Proteus and Tinker cad, interacting with GPIOs, and building projects with advanced features. You will learn how to program microcontrollers, control various devices like LEDs, motors, IMUs, GPS, and Bluetooth modules, and simulate circuits using industry-standard tools. The course also covers topics such as mobile app development with Flutter, speech recognition, internet connectivity, generative AI integration, and prompt engineering. Finally, you will apply your knowledge to build an RC car with a camera and develop voice-controlled functionalities. I. Attendance: • Regular class attendance is expected for all students at the University. You are not required but advised to attend all classes. • Please send your professor a brief e-mail to explain your absence in advance. • Your absence will not reduce your attendance rate if and only if you have a legitimate reason for missing a class (such as illness, death in family, a traffic accident, etc.). In case of an illness or emergency, you must supply a formal documentation that supports your claim. • Classes start on the hour. Please be respectful of your classmates by being on time. • All electronic equipment should be turned off and kept out of sight before lecture starts. II. Make-up Exams: Make‐ups for Midterm Exam will be available if and only if you have a legitimate reason for missing the exam (such as illness, death in family, a traffic accident, etc.). In case of an illness or emergency, you must supply a formal documentation that supports your claim. III. Late Submission Policy: Late submissions will not be graded. There will be no make-up for quizzes and homework/ assignments. Missed assignments and quizzes will result in a grade of zero (0). IV. Participation: In their book, The Adult Student's Guide to Survival & Success, Al Siebert, and Mary Karr suggest that the most effective learning technique of all is to study by asking and answering questions. Develop the habit of reading textbooks, taking lecture notes, and studying by asking and answering questions. When you do this, you save many hours of studying and have time to spend with your family or friends. There are several ways to go about asking and answering questions. When studying on your own, write questions that occur to you while you're reading and then go back and find the answers. If you're part of a study group, make a list of questions to ask the group. In the classroom, participate fully by asking questions and answering the ones posed by your instructor.
