THEORY OF ENGLISH EDUCATION

  1. Course Description
    본 교과목은 교직과정을 이수하는 학생들을 위한 교과교육영역과목이다. 영어교육개론의 심화 과정으로 언어 학습 이론의 심도 있는 고찰과 영어 교육의 이론적 배경과 문제들을 학습 하고 토론한다. 이러한 학습을 바탕으로 현 중등영어 교육에 맞는 영어교육 이론과 방법을 연구하여 구체적 방안을 제시한다.
  2. Course Objectives
    This course provides students with an opportunity to develop in-depth understanding of English language learning and teaching. To this end, major learning theories will be examined, as will their implications for second language teaching. The goal of the class is two-fold. First, it will enable students to develop an understanding of major language learning theories which provide foundations of historical and current language teaching methods. Second, it will enable students to study and practice essential knowledge for classroom teaching. Additional objectives include enabling students to develop a) an ability to read literature related to English education, and b) an ability to engage in academic discussion. students will be able to develop essential knowledge and skills which are necessary to design a lesson. This will provide students with the solid theoretical and practical foundation that is necessary to be a well-prepared teacher. 본 과목을 통해 학생들에게 학교폭력 예방 및 지도 방안에 대한 제고의 기회를 부여하여 통해 현장적응 능력 향상을 도모하고자 한다 (7주, 9주) 본 과목을 통해 AIDT의 교실활용에 대해 알아볼 수 있다. (13주)

  6. Requiments
    Students will be required to actively participate in class discussion and other activities. All of the activities will be based on the assigned readings for each session. Thus, reading assignment should be completed before each session

    students will be able to develop essential knowledge and skills which are necessary to design a lesson. This will provide students with the solid theoretical and practical foundation that is necessary to be a well-prepared teacher.
