- Course Description
Students are introduced to the critical issues, concepts and functions of human resource management. This includes such important areas as planning, staffing, training, career development, performance evaluation, promotion, compensation, discipline, termination, labor relations, merit increases, incentives and employment law for national and international employees.
Prerequisite: Principles of Management
- Course Objectives
The objective of this course are:
1. Understand and apply the basic concepts and frameworks of human resource management
2. Introduce practices and issues in human resource
3. Learn skills in applying human management, compensation, security and other management relations
4. To refine students oral and written communication skills that will continue for you even after you complete this course.
- Teachnig Method
A. Laptops, phones, PDA’s, and similar electronic devices are prohibited in class.
B. Attendance is expected and required.
C. Students arrive on time.
D. Students are fully prepared for each class.
E. Written assignments are due on the date indicated unless prior approval has been granted.
F. No extra-credit projects will be given.
G. Students should also strive to be “professional” in their conduct.
