EUROPEAN CITIES AND CULTURAL HERITAGE(2)

  1. Course Description
    이 교과목은 유럽 주요 도시의 발전 형태와 그 구조, 그리고 문화유산에 대한 기본 개념을 수강생들에게 학습하고, 그 도시가 보유하고 있는 유럽문화유산의 다양성을 검토하는 것을 주된 목표로 삼고 있다. (참고: 2014년 1학기에 개설된 유럽도시와 문화유산의 이해(1)에서는 주로 유럽의 서부에 위치한 프랑스, 영국, 스페인 등을 다루고, 2014년 2학기에 신규 신청하게 된 유럽도시와 문화유산의 이해(2)에서는 유럽의 중부와 동부에 위치한 독일, 오스트리아, 이탈리아, 그리스 등을 다루고자 함)
  2. Course Objectives
    Students will: • Discover and explore the cultural heritage of 4 European cities • Engage with content on history, arts, language, and customs • Participate in class discussions based on lectures and comprehension questions • Express their understanding through UDL (Universal Design for Learning) projects Note: “Europe” in this course refers to the political and/or geographical Europe.

    Respect your classmates and instructor during discussions. Participate actively and stay engaged throughout the session. Complete all assignments on time. When doing teamwork, please take responsibility for your workload. Ask questions if you need help or clarification. Use English in class. Academic honesty is expected at all times - no AI use for UDL Projects.

    Students are expected to: • Attend class regularly • Listen actively and take notes • Engage in comprehension and discussion activities • Complete 2 UDL projects (Midterm and Final) Note: There are no traditional homework assignments for this course.
