  1. Course Description
    The course aims to introduce the diverse populations by race, socioeconomic status, ethnicity, gender, migration status, different abilities, and sexual orientation, as well as multicultural issues with micro, mezzo, and macro level of social work intervention. Besides, the course aims to provide the overview of role, function, and effect of power and oppression as it affects to the diverse population. The course will also examine how power affects service delivery at micro, mezzo, and macro levels. The course aims students to understand the social work profession’s commitment to social justice for the diverse population at local and global context.
  2. Course Objectives
    By the end of this course, students will be able to: Understand the theoretical foundations of cultural diversity and its significance in social work practice. Critically analyze issues related to diversity, discrimination, and social justice in multicultural contexts. Evaluate multicultural policies and practices across various global settings. Develop practical skills and ethical strategies for culturally competent social work interventions.
