- Course Description
오디션은 모든 배우들의 가장 큰 두려움이다. 심지어 노련한 전문가들도 오디션장에 들어가기 전에 여전히 식은땀을 흘린다. 뮤지컬 배우들에게 두려움은 증폭된다. 왜냐하면 뮤지컬 오디션을 보든 사람들은 종종 댄스 오디션, 보컬 오디션, 라인 읽기 오디션을 견뎌내기 때문이다. 이 코스는 오디션 "댄스 콜"과 "컷" 곡에 특히 초점을 맞추어 학생들에게 오디션장에서 그들이 기대하는 것을 연습할 기회를 주기 위한 것이다.
매주 열리는 이 수업은 뮤지컬 '오디션'을 모방하고, 댄스 조합을 선보이고, 이어 오디션'컷'을 부를 수 있는 기회가 주어진다.
- Course Objectives
This course is designed to help students develop skills necessary for a professional life in the theatre. After completion of this course, students should have a greater understanding of the following:
- to move and sing with confidence and intention
- to understand the basics of what to expect at an audition
- to pick up dance steps efficiently and effectively
- to choose their own personal best songs
- to focus energy through the voice, face and body
- to recognize their own strengths and assets that they can use when creating character
- to prepare for a callback

Students are expected to attend all lectures and complete all assignments on time.
Absences, including preplanned absences, will be handled and graded on a case by case basis.
Assignments that are completed late are subject to alower grade.

This course is only open to 4th and 3rd year (4학년, 3학년) theatre and musical theatre majors, or other related majors.
Acceptance into the class may be subject to the instructor‘s approval.
Priority will be given to upper class students (4th years, then 3rd years, etc).
- Practical application of the course
This course is an application course designed to allow the student to practice his/her skills as a musical theatre actor.
Through this course, the student will learn to integrate voice and body, singing and dancing, and acting, into a cohesive technique.
Class assignments will focus mainly on songs, dialogue and related dance movement.
Weekly choreography combinations will allow the student to become more familiar with and comfortable with his/her body movements.
