이 과목은 전공 외국어 학습의 2단계에 해당하는 과목이다. 초급 수준의 말하기, 듣기, 읽기, 쓰기에 관한 능력을 배양한다. 또한, 각 외국어의 기본적인 문법을 본격적으로 학습함으로써, 보다 정확하게 말하고 읽고 쓸 수 있는 능력을 키운다. 이를 통해, 보다 심화된 전공 외국어를 학습할 수 있는 토대를 다진다.

• Improve both written and spoken English in a meaningful context
• Use writing tasks (summaries, opinions, and questions) as preparation for class discussions
• Build fluency, vocabulary, and communication strategies in English
• Develop confidence in expressing personal views and engaging with others
• Complete 2 individual and 2 team-based writing tasks
• Participate actively in discussions and class activities
• Take a final (group) exam

Mixed ability class. There is no set textbook for this class. All materials will be uploaded to Google Classroom. Students will need writing materials for class activities. We will go over how to use Google Classroom in Week 1.
