혁신신약학과 전공에 필요한 화학의 기본 개념 정립을 위해 쌍극자 모멘트, 분자간 힘, 용액의 물리화학적 성질, 산과 염기, 용해도 평형 등 화학에 대한 종합적인 이해를 하고, 이를 바탕으로 혁신적인 의약품의 연구, 개발의 기초적인 기반으로 활용할 수 있다.
- Course Objectives
Students will develop an understanding of the basic principles of chemistry. This course will help students attain the general education goal and objective of obtaining an understanding of the scientific method and a working knowledge of natural science and its relevance in their lives. Through this course, students will acquire knowledge about the theories, concepts, and principles of chemistry that explain observations and make predictions about the natural world.
1. Students will be able to write ground-state electronic configurations for neutral and charged species.
2. Students will be able to develop the critical thinking and problem-solving skills required for success in biomedicine and pharmaceutical science.
- Teachnig Method
Throughout the course, we will engage in one hour and 50 minutes of scheduled classroom meetings per week. Lecture slides will be utilized in class. Students are expected to read chapters of the textbook prior to class.
We will have quizzes in class. Students are expected to complete homework assignments for a better understanding of the materials throughout the course.

- Practical application of the course
