PSYCHOLOGY OF CRIME

  1. Course Description
    인간행동 중에서 부정적인 측면인 범죄행동을 유발한다고 판단되는 여러 요인(사회적 요인 및 개인적 요인)을 분석하고, 그러한 요인들이 부정적인 행동을 유발하는 과정을 따져 봄으로써 범죄행동을 이해하고자 한다. .
  2. Course Objectives
    Understand the difference between "normal" criminals and Psychopaths. Psychopaths constitute only 1-2% of Society, but anywhere from 15 - 45% of the prison population. The CJ system needs to be aware of this and respond accordingly: Psychopaths are NOT rehabilitatable, but must be dealt with in other, specific ways to protect Society.

    Attendance considered only in borderline cases unless actual attendance is simply too low to warrant a grade.
