UNDERSTANDING OF CHRISTIANITY

기독교정신으로 설립된 계명대학교의 교양필수과목으로서 인문학적관점으로 기독교를 이해하고자 합니다. 이러한 전제하에서 다음과 같은 내용을 다룹니다. 1.기독교의 경전인 성서와 기독교 역사에 나타난 기독교정신과 세계관을 살펴봅니다. 2.기독교를 포함한 종교 전반에 대 해고찰합니다. 3.다원주의 사회에서 우리가 지녀야할 삶의 자세가 무엇인지를 모색해봅니다.

Many young modern people living in Korea are living in the pain of life, the spread of secularity, and uncertainty about the future under Covid-19. Therefore, in this course, [Understanding of Christianity], first, the Christian founding ideology of Keimyung University is faithfully reflected in this course so that students have a point of contact with Christianity. Second, there will be an elimination of misunderstandings about Christianity. Third, in the early classes, the professor will lecture on topics they are interested in, life in their twenties, their identity, college life, careers, and relationships, etc. In the middle and late classes, the professor will share with you about the Bible, the core doctrines of Christianity, the essence of Jesus Christ, and Christianity while aiming at positive understanding and communication about Christianity.

1. This course is not difficult but rather fun unlike the pressures of the required major subjects (the professor is a humor therapist level 1), but it is a class that focuses on topics that meet the needs of the students and Christian understanding. 2. In the beginning (until the 3rd week), lectures by the professor in charge are centered on the lectures, but from the 4th week, after the students select the subject of the lecture plan, they should upload the PowerPoint presentation and English script on the website of Keimyung University (Center for Teaching and Learning-Task Section). Assuming they will have a face-to-face PowerPoint presentation, individuals should give a presentation for at least 5 minutes.

1. Additional explanations on the evaluation : Attendance (20%), Midterm exam(PPT presentation) 40%, Final exam (30%), Participation and integrity (10%, uploading PowerPoint presentation on time, class attitude, group discussion, question about PPT).

1. How to get a good score: The presenter should upload the PowerPoint presenttion within the suggested time. Communicate actively in the group chat room. If you participate in the class with an open mind, it will be a beneficially happy, and abundant time for you. 2. There are no prerequisites. 3. Read reference books to gain a full understanding of Christianity. 4. PowerPoint presentation(contents are prepared by referring to various materials, writing list of references, putting it on the website), Final exam: lecture summary(4/5), personal application(1/5).

1. Students should have the right values and spirit in living their lives. 2. They should understand Christianity in general and become a person of positive communication about Christianity.
