- Course Description
This is an entry level course for social scientists. Students will learn Descriptive statistics, probability models and related concepts, sample surveys, estimates, confidence intervals, tests of significance, controlled experiments vs. observational studies, correlation and regression.

"1. At the beginning of each class I will check attendance.
2. Please do not walk in and out during the class time
3. Telephone call and SMS are strictly prohibited. In case of emergency, you can just ask my permission to do so outside.

Statistics has a vast applications. In particular, forecasting (eg., for future sales, expected returns) is the most well-know application of statistics in business.
