Communication EnglishⅡ is designed to give students the vocabulary and fluency they need to effectively communicate in English on a variety of topics that come up in everyday life. Students will learn basic vocabulary and grammar forms and functions associated with different themes and then expand on these familiar patterns to create more advanced conversations.

By the end of the course, you will:
1) Be able to use spoken English in diverse situations and for various purposes.
2) Be confident in using English to communicate in real-world situations.
3) Be able to use resources and strategies to learn English independently.
- Teachnig Method
You will be required to communicate with me and your peers during lessons. Therefore, you should be prepared and ready to participate for the whole 75 minutes. To help create an environment that is enjoyable and benefits you and your peers, please be on time and be ready to take an active role in lessons.

Students are assessed in various ways throughout the course (see above). All students are awarded a grade that reflects their achievements throughout the semester. A maximum of 30% of students will receive an 'A+' or 'A0' grade. A maximum of 30% of students will receive a 'B+' or 'B0' grade. However, fewer than 60% of students may receive A+/A0 or B+/B0 grades, if it better reflects the achievements of students in the class. Therefore, it is also possible to receive a C+, C, D+, D, or F grade.
Attendance in class is mandatory and unauthorised absence is penalised -1% per class. A student who misses more than 30% of classes automatically receives an 'F' grade. Absence due to illness or participation in university events, for example, can be authorised by giving me a completed absence form stamped by your department before the end of the semester.
A student who arrives 5-15 minutes after the class has started is considered late. If a student is late three times, this equates to one absence (six times is two absences, and so on). Students arriving more than 15 minutes late to class are considered absent unless a valid reason is provided.

English is a global language used by millions of native and non-native speakers around the world. As the world becomes more connected, being a confident English user provides you with many interesting and exciting opportunities. For instance, English is increasingly useful, and sometimes necessary, for work, foreign travel, and various online leisure activities. Being a competent English user also helps you make friends with people from diverse and varied backgrounds, and as South Korea continues to welcome students, workers, and tourists from all around the world, English enables you to learn about different cultures, as well as share your own.
