WRITING AND UNDERSTANDING POETRY IN ENGLISH

본 수업은 영문 현대 시의 기본 개념과 쓰기 전략에 대해 소개할 것입니다. 시학의 혁신을 맥락하기 의해 20세개 서양의 역사와 문화도 탐사하게 될 일정이다. 학생은 자신의 시 쓰기로 시학 전력의 이해를 전시할 기회를 제공한다.

This course is a basic introduction to some major western poets writing in the 19th and 20th century. Students will be asked to analyze poems not based on what they mean, but how they are written. They will then produce imitations of the poets studied in class, not imitating the content of the poems, but the style in which the are written. Students will learn how to identify, analyze and reproduce the aesthetic qualities that make up a poem.

If you are more than 3 minutes late to class you are late, and if you are more than 15 minutes late to class you are absent.

An interest in reading and writing poetry and a basic understanding of English.

Students will learn not only the basics of understanding and writing poetry, they will increase their critical and creative skill and confidence in using these skills.
