- Course Description
이 교과목은 한국 고전문학에서 중요한 작품을 감상하고 이해하는 데에 목적이 있다. 학생들은 문헌설화와 향가부터 시작하여 시조와 가사, 고전소설의 작품들을 감상하고 분석하게 될 것이다. 이 과정에서 문학사의 시대, 장르와 작품의 특징을 알게 될 것이다. 학생들은 문학 작품을 분석하고 평가하는 능력을 높이고, 자신의 생각을 글과 말로 표현하는 능력도 향상시킬 것이다.
- Course Objectives
After successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
analyze and evaluate literary texts and understand them from historical contexts and literary traditions
identify and explain the features of premodern genres and texts
explain the relationship between historical periods, authors, and literary texts
express their thoughts about literature, genres, and texts orally and in writing

Students will be expected to read the literary works and related materials, prepare and deliver presentations based on literary texts and related articles, participate in in-class activities and discussions.

Students will have to use English dictionaries (Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary, hard or electronic copy, is recommended) for their activities. During the process of preparing writing assignments and presentations, students must receive editing help from the University writing center.
- Practical application of the course
Knowledge of premodern genres, authors, and texts will be useful for taking other related courses. The ability to analyze and evaluate literary texts might be used in further study and work.
