DIGITAL LITERACY AND ENGLISH PRACTICE(1)

네트워크화되고 디지털화 된 사회에서 영어 학습에 활용 가능한 다양한 형태의 매체, 기술, 플랫폼을 간단히 살펴보고, 이를 활용하여 영어의 말하기, 듣기, 읽기, 쓰기 능력을 통합적으로 개발한다.

After completing this class, students will demonstrate an understanding of: • What is digital literacy and why is it important. • The effects of digital literacy on our social world. • What search engines do and don’t do, and how to manipulate them • Security and protection in the digital space. • The current and projected impact of AI. • Multiliteracy and its effects on language teaching and learning pedagogy. • Using specific language strategies to effectively participate in and encourage discussion. Students will gain experience using a number of digital tools: • Video creation tools • Office productivity apps • LMS • SNS platforms

Standard rules regarding absences, late submissions, plagiarism, and cheating apply. These will be outlined in class.
