Course Objectives
To enable students to proficiently understand, apply, and communicate medical language within the pharmacy, fostering effective collaboration in healthcare settings and ensuring precise documentation and patient education.
By the end of the course, students should be able to:
• Form medical terms by combining prefixes, suffixes and root words and identify medical terms and abbreviations
• Associate medical terms with specific body systems.
• Relate terms to disorders, pathologies, surgical operations, diagnostics, and therapeutic procedures and interventions
• Summarize and correctly interpret medical/clinical related materials.
